Choose a special orange to build your toy.

  1. Imagine the overall shape that you would like for your toy. How will it stand?

  2. To make it easier to handle, cut your orange in half spheres or even quarters.

  3. Cut and pull off strips/ shapes of the orange peel that you could use to build your desired toy shape. The more cuts you do, the more pieces the structure will have, making it increasingly harder to set up.

  4. Use knots, holes and pegs to mount all the pieces together. Work with the material, never against it.

  5. Thank the orange. Eat the orange.

  6. Leave the structure out to dry for at least 4 days.

  7. Once dried, paint or varnish it to increase your toy’s lifespan.
